Not all that good.,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: 16GB capacity pen with a 4GB card included (Supporting System: Windows me/2000/xp/2003/vista, Mac 10.4, Linux) (Electronics)
I first came to the world of cheap 'spy' cameras when I bought the 808 key chain camera. This was a really nice tactile little device. Easy to use, and picked up sound and video very well. After a while this stopped working so I bought this pen in its place.
Firstly the positives.
It is very discrete and while I've been using it to capture various colleagues and friends no-one has been any the wiser.
It works OK for picking up video.
It comes with a micro SD card, and I found it useful not only for storing video, but if I'm short of a USB stick I can use it for that too.
Unlike the afore mentioned key chain I found this extremely difficult to point in the right place. I captured a lot of ceilings and floors and very rarely was I pointing at what I thought I was pointing at.
The audio is really terrible, there is a lot of hiss on it, and it doesn't pick up sound from a distance well at all.
It has a flashing LED light on the back of it to let you know it's recording. If someone spots that, the game is up.
So in conclusion it's a fun cheap little thing that's not too bad, but there are better things on offer for about the same money.
