A lot of computer/video games using first-person perspective have given me really bad motion sickness, making me feel horribly nauseous for hours after just trying the game briefly. The result being I couldn't play those games at all and sometimes didn't even want to try them because the effect was so awful.
I read an article about motion sickness whilst playing games and they suggested wrist bands and ginger pills. I was a bit dubious having tried some wrist bands as a kid for travel sickness and getting no relief at all (also because I tend to be pretty cynical about so called "alternative" medicines) but these have worked really well for me.
Games that previously made me feel really sick are now fine as long as I have the bands on all the time I'm playing (don't take them off while still playing as the sickness will return)
I think the placement is probably important and I always make sure to put both bands on exactly where the instructions indicate.
I also tried them when feeling nauseous from cars and illness again it helped :D
I love these little bands and the fact I can now play any game I want XD

I'm suffering with the same problem, it always seems to be with the first person shooter games that make me feel dizzy and sick, other games are fine. I'll give these a go and see if they're any good for me.
