Wireless is useless and wired at times not much better,
This review is from: : D-Link DSL-2740B Wireless "N" 270Mbps ADSL2+ Modem Firewall Router with 4 Port Switch (Electronics)
So I own(ed) a Belkin modem/router but wanted a back up (as the Belkin occasionally seemed to lose connection) and as the Belkin looked like a toy I thought this one had a far more serious look to it. The d-link looks far more business like :-) In terms of technology it was better than my Belkin also. So I continued with the Belkin as it appeared the loss of connection was down to a dodgy phone wire in the end. Unfortunately the Belkin just died (only lasted a year and a bit so not impressed with that either!) so I switched to this d-link but all has not gone well. Firstly even my wired network occasionally failed to connect, but when I finally got a fairly stable connection I switched to getting my wireless working and things got a whole lot worse...
I have a HP laptop sitting no more than ten feet from this wireless router and it only very VERY occasionally even see's the SID and so far I haven't been able to connect via wireless once whether using encryption or not. It's truly a piece of junk now in terms of it's wireless capability and now I have to look to get another router to replace this.
It maybe I'm just unlucky and got a dud, or there's too much interference with my other electronics kit, but the Belkin wireless worked flawlessly 90% of the time. But I'm afraid I cannot recommend this router based upon my experience to date.
