Not all that,
This review is from: Ted: Extended Edition [DVD] (DVD)
Ted really does not live up to the hype. You have a paper thin plot that's lifted partly from Wanderlust, partly from Horrible Bosses (and those two are hardly original, at least they have some charm to them), a talking, swearing, drinking, shagging bear which is an idea lifted wholesale from another desparately over-rated film, Paul, chuck in a load of 80's sci-fi references and cameos, an idea lifted from just about everything Simon Pegg has done in the last 15 years, a plot twist telegraphed with bells and whistles 45 minutes before it arrives and you get a film that is mildly amusing for 15 minutes then just terribly repetative and dull for the remaining 90.
But it's Seth McFarlane!!! And therein lies the problem. Ted would work great as a sub plot in a 22 minute episode of Family Guy but there just isn't enough mileage or originality in it to make a full length film.

i agree. ted was just very average and the ending was extremely cliche and predictable. paul and ted are vastly overrated. its just recycled in your face jokes that arent intelligent.
