This review is from: Dust (Scarpetta Novels) (Hardcover)
I am over halfway through this book and it is only because I never give up that I am still bothering with it. It is tedious beyond belief with the Scarpetta character whingeing on and on about everyone and everything. Benton has become timid and almost silent, Marino is a bitter old cop and Lucy is just, well, Lucy. Do Benton and Kay EVER have fun (or even smile)? I realise any book about murdered people is going to be serious but there is no depth to the relationship between Scarpetta and Wesley. I no longer care about the main characters and probably will not bother with Ms Cornwall's next offering. Sorry.

'Ms Cornwell', I apologise for the spelling error.

Wish I had read this review before I purchased on Kindle! I will not give up either but I am so tempted, but I agree wholeheartedly with these comments. Also very repetitive, but I suppose repetition makes for more pages and I am also starting to question the grammar/punctuation - I have to read some sentences over and over again and still can't make sense of them. Rapidly losing the will to read this book.

Same here, wish I had read this review before buying. She is rehashing the same old cliches.
