Loved the main character!,
This review is from: Running In Heels (Paperback)
I've read this book twice now over the past year. I find Anna's writing style extremely witty and similar to my own which leaves me enjoying the book so much more. The main character, Nat, reminded me of myself in so many ways it was unbelievable! Obviously this left her really easy to relate to.
Despite my love for the book I must admit that, at times, it was a bit `wishy washy' and I found certain aspects of the story a little dry. There were certain characters that I just loathed because they were so boring, for example Mell. This wasn't too much of an issue though since they played minor roles in the story and didn't hang around too long at a time to bore me. The plot was also a bit infuriating and I felt that the end left too many doors open, I was eager to find out more!
However, it was over all really enjoyable. Deffinately a great, easy going summer read that was a little deeper than your usual typical chick lit story. Anna write with such whit that it's hard not to laugh at points and become engrossed into what's going on.
