This review is from: After the Funeral (BBC Audio Crime) (Audio CD)
This BBC radio drama was originally broadcast in August 1999 and has Michael Bakewell's dramatisation and Enyd Williams direction bringing to life for the listener the story "After the Funeral" by Agatha Christie. The 90 minutes running time allows the story to be fully developed and the characters nostalgically English almost pop out of the speakers whilst you listen. John Moffatt was still to play the role of M. Poirot many more times establishing him as the definitive radio Poirot. Listen out for Frank Thornton as the barrister Mr Entwhistle who is the person that becomes suspicious at the sudden deaths of Richard Abernethie and his younger sister Cora and here the mystery starts. This is one of the most entertaining of Agatha Christie's stories and well worth having on CD to listen to at your leisure. Nicely packaged these are very good value and like the books of Agatha Christie make an excellent collection.
