KoA:R vs. Skyrim,
This review is from: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (PS3) (Video Game)Since most people compare this game to Skyrim - here is my opinion.
I was really looking forward to play Skyrim, but I haven't purchased the game yet. Why?
Because it is BUGGED TO THE MAXX. What good is a game -even with the "best" graphics- when I can't play it after a few hours !??
So, as a fan of RPGs I bought KoA:R. And I LOVE IT !!!
I really like the "comic-style" graphics, I like the crafting system, I like the quests, I like the way I can develop my character in the game, and what I like most of all: IT IS BUG-FREE (I'm about 40 hours in the game and haven't encountered a SINGLE bug - so don't let the faulty demo deceive you) !!!
Of course KoA:R has it's flaws, too: your character is a mute (the NPCs can talk, though), you can't walk over "boundaries" like roots or small ledges, and the fights are often too easy (a lot of button-mashing, too).
But does that bother me? No, I can live with it and really enjoy this game. So if you prefer playability over "high-end" graphics, KoA:R is a MUST-BUY for you !!

I have had Skyrim since day one and never had a bother with it. Its THE best game I ever played and nothing i have seen or read about this game suggests its anywhere near as good.. Ill probably play this later in the year, but dont let the apparent bugs put you off Skyrim.. Its perfect.
