I have a set of the predecessors to these cans and they live attached to my computer which I use for music production and DJing they are superb, so when I needed some new cans for my iPhone these updated ones were my first port of call. I prefer over ear cans for public places as they give great sound without being too loud and don't annoy everyone else which is ideal given that I take the train to work and also listen to music whilst working.
Frankly, at this price I don't think you'll find better sounding headphones, and as a bonus they are comfortable and pretty light, yet the band is robust. I do have slight reservations about how robust the adjustment system is, but time will tell and I can't mark them down for that unless they actually go wrong. I seemed to get them on special as I paid about 18 quid for them and that's just silly money for such good phones, but under 30 quid is still a total bargain. The sound is crisp and clear and they are more than sensitive enough to be driven by an mp3 player/phone without draining the battery unduly. If you use them on a proper stereo or a computer with a good soundcard, beware - they can handle so much oomph and are so sensitive that you might find that an output level that's fine for speakers blows your head off with these bad boys!! I swear I can actually feel them pushing away from my head with the bass response when I forget to adjust the levels on my computer from time to time.
The only slight annoyance is the cable winder which is really a bit too chunky, although it will fit in a pocket or bag and also has a clip, but I'd like to see these with a shorter standard cable and an extension cable included, even if the cost was a couple of quid more. Even so, they still deserve all five stars quite handily.
