5.0 out of 5 stars Night-time wee!, 15 Jun. 2011

This review is from: PORTABLE TOILET FOR CAMPING/FISHING FOLDING+ 6 BAGS NEW (Misc.)
OMG how excellent is this idea? Have just recently used this after camping for 10 days with 'basic' facilities. Really didn't fancy the thought of trekking across the field for a wee. Set this up at night, used a fold-up bucket to 'hold' the bag and some cat-litter (wood based)in the bag to help absorb the urine...... no cold treks across the field and no one knew what we were emptying in the morning as it was already in a bucket. (It was STRICTLY for wee only though!!) Any binbags will do (make sure no holes though!). A must for any camper :-)

August 2014

Thought I would just do an update to this to say it is still going strong and has been the envy of a few female campers!

wood based cat litter? what a brilliant idea! i have another type of camping toilet for my family of 5, basically a bucket with a seat on top of it and a lid, anyhoo, ive always used apple scented baby wipes and loo roll to absorb the liquid, but never thought of cat litter. Wicked, am gonna try that cos there is nothing worse then wee smelling apple baby wipes lol, ta very much. My 2 girls and partner will be thrilled, us boys tho, hey, we could deal with just a hole in the ground lol.

You are a genius! I've been struggling with my portapotty as it's heavy, being a lone disabled camper. Also sometimes the site loos are too far away. I love your cat litter solution. Many many thanks.
