House of Elliot,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Dressed to Kill: Virginia's Jazz Age Fashion (Hardcover)
A Huge tome - If you ever watched The House of Elliot & wished away about the dresses this is the book, there are no people in the book, neither Virginia or any of people wearing the clothes which is the only sad thing though maybe that's why it works so well, But it is PACKED with full page close up shots of intricate beadwork,a little at the start of each chapter about the item (hats/opera coats etc)a close up of the work, then a full length of the whole item, it really is about the jazz age & not pictures of people wearing the flapper style through the ages, so if you love that you'll love this! If you want a book full of beaded clothes, their approx values, on models, you really would love "Beads in Fashion 1900-2000"
