Good idea but not so well done,
This review is from: The Compound (Paperback)
The books is about an ultra rich family in a huge nuclear bunker complex after a nuclear war. Some members of the family didn't make it in there and 6 years after the door was shut some of the family still miss them dreadfully, particularly a twin missing his brother. The post apocalyptic story soon morphs into something more and there are plenty of other elements here, family tension, supply problems, cloning and more.
The story in the bunker compound is good and pretty promising but the book felt fairly short and I found I finished it very fast and I was left not particularly impressed. It is a good idea that flies by and is over very quickly. It's worth a read but I give it a 3 rating.
