This review is from: Durarara!! Vol 1 [DVD] (DVD)
This anime is one of the best releases in the UK to date, Its a really great watch, especially if you liked Baccano, if you haven't watched it your still in for a treat.
BE warned however, the DVD's contain english sub titles but no English track, if this bothers you do not fret there will be a re-release of this next year with an english track, or if you buy it now, there will be a trade up service where you can pay a small fee to have your Sub only disks replaced with a english sub and dub disk, when the english dub disks become available.
If subtitles put you off, you can wait till next year but if you don't mind, give it a shot, your guaranteed to like it.

About the "trade up service", what is your source on this? Maybe you have link to official confirmation of this?

Yeah, this was talked about by the distributor "BEEZ", how it happens remains to be seen though.

Has anyone heard anything on this trade-in thing?? I've been renting Durarara from Lovefilm since last year, and although 'Crispin Freeman' is written on the Lovefilm label as appearing in the anime, the discs themselves keep coming as Japanese with subtitles only. Amazon also do not state whether their Durarara discs are dual language or not. Any info would be great - I love Durarara in Japanese but when I buy it I would like the dual language option.
