If the paint hadn't chipped immediately I would happily have given 5 stars. These are beautiful looking pots, good quality wood and lovely accessories but the paint chips WAY too easily. I opened the package yesterday morning and at first I thought the lids were glued to the pots because it was so difficult to remove them. When I finally managed to pull the lids off, there were chips on the ridge of the pot where the lids had been pressed so hard against them. I was disappointed but thought maybe this was just bad packaging and there would be no further chipping. Well, my son clattered them around a bit, nothing excessive, jsut the way you'd expect a small child to do, and now all of them are full of chipped paint - most notably the lids - and various scuff marks. When he dropped one on the floor - from his hand, so not from a great heigth! - it left a red streak on our wooden floor that I haven't been able to fully remove yet. Pity, these are not cheap but I went for them as I wanted good quality wooden items that would both look good but also be robust and last. Not even 24 hours later and they look like they've been bashed around for years!!
EDIT: I raised this complaint with Amazon and was very pleasantly surprised by their response: They replied within the hour, no quibble, just a friendly, sincere apology and a full refund - excellent customer service from Amazon.
