Excellent. Well written,

Is moving and well written.
Much tragedy with death of Ned and then Anne.
I thoughtRichard was idealistic. It saddened me about the speech he gave before the battle. Presumably this bit is just fiction. But what he says in the novel reminds me what Elizabeth of York said in the White Queen, that no matter who wins she would still be queen. Likewise in this novel, Richard says no matter who wins England will be ruled by fear.
But it is said that if the same leader gives some freedom then takes it away, there would be social unrest and maybe Richard would be forced to sign Magna Carta. But perhaps he knew he was going to die anyway was hinting that absolute rule of the monarchy was inevitable. Perhaps this what the author had in mind.
