Dub-techno with a new dimension,
This review is from: Altostratus Translucidu (Audio CD)
Released on Binemusic, which has previously already released great deep music albums from the likes of Scanner, Move D, Benjimann Brunn, Marconi Union..etc. This album, and with the recently released(11/11)Lars Leonhard - 1549 album, have been nothing but quality in the dub-techno-ambient(+) genre. This album now goes deeper and further into dub music and ambient.
A album with a fascinating listening experience using complex layers of ambient and dub-techno minimalism with a sound that seems to have come from the far fabrics of space itself! A album truly crafted with great care. This creating one of the deepest journeys into modern instrumental music that's perfect to just sit-back, absorb, and simply drift away too. From the very beginning to the very end this album will take you on deep hypnotic journey through absorbing deep rhythms and beatless drifting space with some very immersive fragile like atmospheres. Though classified as a dub-techno album, that comes with all the classic dub-techno associated elements included: Echoes, delays, reverbs, chords, loops, bass. It also adds a fascinating evolving development by blending and merging a complex web of wonderful floating ambience and drifting spacey soundscape that gradually evolve and develop on beatless layers with fragile micro-sonic textures, atmospheric blips, elements of glitch, and drifting textured synth patterns. This really adds a warm organic space like texture to the floating ambient sound. Slowly but gradually the ambient begins to wraps itself around the deep flowing dub rhythms and minimal techno which start to phase slowly phase in and out of the ambient. The album flows at a un-rushed pace maintaining a great sense of development with plenty of depth and direction across the albums non-rhythm ambient and more rhythm dubby layers, which are both wonderfully balanced and paced, and in how the dub-techno is introduced by folding and weaving into the fabric of the ambient which really adds a sense of development to the album. A wonderful listening experience through deep ambient and dub-techno. Truly Excellent!
