This is a review of 2 cases for the Nexus 5, I have them both: the Rearth Fusion for Nexus 5 and the Spigen Ultra Hybrid for Nexus 5.
The 2 cases look similar. They consist of a bumper round the edge of the phone and a clear plastic back. They both offer similar protection. They both come with an option to customise by placing an image under the clear back - this is just a gimmick and I have ignored.
The Rearth is the superior case in use. It is nice to hold being matt and smooth. The Spigen feels more rubbery.
The buttons on the Rearth work perfectly. They are the same shape as the Nexus buttons. They protrude slightly and the case is cutaway inside to accommodate the Nexus buttons.
The buttons on the Spigen are block shaped and far too sensitive. This is because there is a lug under them and this presses the Nexus buttons slightly so that it is too easy to turn the phone on/off or take a picture with the volume buttons. They are a real pain.
The Spigen comes with screen protector which is good quality and useful.
I also have the official Nexus 5 case. This fits well and the buttons work well but I prefer the Rearth because it adds less bulk. The Rearth curves into the back whereas the official case stands proud.
