This review is from: The Horror of Love: Nancy Mitford and Gaston Palewski in Paris and London (Hardcover)
The rather titillating title suggests the author will examine what exacty it was about Gaston Palewski (an ugly, self-obsessed man with halitosis, apparently) that made Nancy Mitford fall hopelessly in love with him and stay obsessed for years. The actual content - as far as I got without putting the book aside, which was about page 100 - was simply a biographical re-hash of stuff that is well known about Nancy, her family, upbringing etc. It didn't touch on the psychology of love - "horror" suggesting Racine....nothing of that here it would seem. Very disappointing.
