Reads like a Self Help in life and business manual,
This review is from: Paganism: An Introduction to Earth-centered Religions (Paperback)
I did not like this book at all. It read to me like a self help manual. There was a section on belief which viewed (with diagrams) a camera and belief as a filter. A visualisation invited you to try on 3 pairs of glasses, one negative one positive and your own, to view your situation regarding a neighbour and work. Another showed 'The universe as a cosmic TV' There are sections headed 'Exercises' 'discussions' and 'keys to success'. Lots of diagrams, including a temple showing the pillars as freedom and rights, headed 'U.S. political philosophy as a belief system'. It all reminded me way too much of a Sales meeting at work!!. I was expecting a book with much more about the natural world in it much more of the genuine magick I find in paganism, plants, herbs, seasons etc, I have been a pagan for many years and so was not looking for a 'How To,' manual if you are this may help you but it seems a far too material book for a spiritual subject to me.
