A Great Read!,
This review is from: An Irresistible Bachelor (Mass Market Paperback)
I stumbled across Jessica Bird recently when I realised that the JR Ward has another pen name and I'm not disappointed!
I LOVE JR Ward's BDB series and the new fallen angels series and was willing to give her contemporary stories under this name a go. So okay, these are not the best contemporary books I've ever read, but they're a pleasurable read and escapsism.
AN IRRISISITIBLE BACHELOR is the second book which comes after AN UNFORGETTABLE LADY and both are great reads. In this book we get Jack's story, whom we met in the first book. The mysterious, suave and charmning man. He's gorgeous. Jack oozes charm and handsomeness throughout the book and his relationship with Callie is filled with passion, warmth and is very touching.
At the start of the book we learn that Jack is engaged to someone else but then as the saying goes, 'anything can happen.' Jack asks Callie (also from the first book) to stay over at his place where she can work on a painting he recently purchased and you can guess what leads from there... Jack's mother is hostile towards Callie and the difference in social class between Callie and Jack is what I loved alot reading this - just goes to show, that opposites do attract!
I really did enjoy this book and I won't go over the summary or the plot with you but will tell you that the story is a MUST read if you like light contemporary romance reads!

Hello dream shop world "Books, books and more..., thanks so much for your review, now I want to read this book even more. I just finished Unforgettable Lady and was looking forward to getting a copy of Irresistible Bachelor, but the used copies are being sold for alot of money. I hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you get your copy? Thanks

Hi, I'm happy my review proved useful. I actually bought my used copy from here, on Amazon. It was cheaper back then - if I recall correctly, I don't think I paid more than a £1 for my copy. You should try ebay or abe books for a cheaper copy. The price on now is just ridiculous. Also keep in mind that Jessica Bird (AKA JR Ward) is having these books republished. Unforgettable Lady republication is already out so this one should be out soon. Perhaps you should wait till then when the price will be reasonable for a NEW copy. Hope this helps and good luck!

Hi, I did try Abe and ebay and while Abe does have it, they're asking for similarly ridiculous prices as Amazon, while ebay does not have it at all. I will practice some patience and as you suggested wait for it to be republished. Hope they hurry up! :)
