Nine Miles Down,
This review is from: Nine Miles Down [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Scientists are working on a new project to dig nine miles down into a cavity in the earths crust. Shortly after succeeding and listening to audio picked up from receptors the crew start going mad and deserting the poject. One man is sent to find out what happened and why all contact with the base has been lost. Upon arriving he finds one remaining crew member, JC. What happens after is a brilliant psychological romp through the human mind and how superstition can affect it.
The first 10 minutes of the film give you an impression of this being another run of the mill horror story, but it isn't. this is a psychological thriller, and a very good one at that. The acting is very good and so believable it can be painful to watch sometimes.
**Here Be Spoilers**
The film is based around the myth of scientists drilling down into the earths crust and hearing what sounds like a thousand tortured souls screaming in pain.
