This review is from: Sennheiser Mx 500 White Headphones (Electronics)
Bought these as a replacement for my Zen Micro. On the bright side they are very small and compact and are comfortable in the ear even after long periods of use. However i would suggest that there isn't much else to recommend here.
The sound while clear and crisp is so devoid of bass that every song is given a more accoustic sound. Perhaps this is more noticeable to me because i play a lot of rock music on my mp3 player where bass guitar is an essential ingredient in a track. Cranking the volumne up doesn't compensate it enough. Also the volume control is a complete gimmick. The difference between max and min volume using this is neglagable. Further more the cord is too short and no extension lead is provided so unless your as small as a hobbit i would say that it isnt going to be long enough for you.
I really wanted to like these as i know Sennheiser have an excellent reputation however if like me you have forked out a lot of cash on an expensive mp3 player then you really should do it justice by buying a top notch set of earphones. Spend £30-35 on a pair of sonys. Cant go wrong.
