3.0 out of 5 stars Seems like a money spinner......, 10 Mar. 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Buzz! Brain of the UK (PS3) (Video Game)
The 3 star rating is just based on the fact that I like Buzz! and already own the previous release on PS3.

Just WHAT is the point on releasing more Buzz! discs?!?!

The whole point of Buzz! on the PS3 is that there is already a Buzz! title on the machine and therefore any subsequent releases should be as DLC from the Playstation Store.

When I see the PS2 discs where there would be £30 charged for a pop quiz or a sports quiz - it was daylight robbery...

I'm annoyed by this release as it seems that they are going to try the same on the PS3.

I don't mind paying more for extra quizzes, and indeed I have done so on the PSN Store, but I don't want to end up with half-a-dozen different discs for what is essentially the same game.

Sony need to sort this out.

I agree with you, they could have easily just had this as a addon. It has the same (in my opinion boring and repetative) trophy list as the first ps3 release. waste of money if you have the first one, the creaters should have thought about this matter a lot more!

It would cost more than £17.98 to buy 4000 questions on the PSN so why not bring it out on disc? Plus the cost of a blu-ray disc is more than the DLC distribution, reducing costs.
I have the original Buzz! on the PS3 also and playing the same rounds can get repetitive. I hope that they have some new rounds or bring back more rounds from the PS2 versions.
And back to the original point of it being a money making idea, if you purchased 4000 questions on the PSN, you would have to buy 8 DLC packs and it would cost £28 if they were all priced at £3.50 and not all of them are, only 4 packs are at this price, others cost more, up to £6.50 for a 500 question pack.
Personally, I think it is a good idea just to get the questions alone. If this disc can use the DLC I already have and has new rounds then it is fantastic

Remember, not everybody has their ps3 connected to the internet. They can't download extra packs.
