Not even chronic procrastinators have any excuse for not reading this very short work on procrastination. This is an extremely useful book and as you read it you can start putting its recommendations onto practice. The author manages to say in a hundred words what many books take a thousand to say. I greatly appreciated its brevity and also the low price on Kindle.
The author is an academic and much of what he says is backed up by evidence but it is also an easy read. There are chapters explaining what procrastination is, how to recognise when you are about to procrastinate and how to avoid it.
His ideas on implementation intentions were particularly interesting as I had not really come across this idea before. Basically we can make pre-decisions and tell ourselves "IF I am about to engage in procrastination behaviour THEN I will ...."
I found this to be very helpful as I have often avoided procrastinating for awhile and then sunk back into old habits.
