If they don't come down in price on here, then you should try ebay. You can get it there for £500. Although, I doubt you'll be coming back to see if there's been a reply.

Mr. R. A. Paterson says:
this price is sure highway robbery even play.com i thought was bad enough selling this set for £599-99 but anyone who pays this much no matter how good funny the series was and i loved it myself seen the lot twice on itv then channel 5 ,but i,d rather bid or buy from e,bay and for amazon to even dream up this price or allow anyone to sell it through your company is out of order many thanks and future customers who wish to buy the whole series try play.com and save a fortune

Amazingly enough, the price seems to have gone UP since I first saw it. I'm sure it was £1,249.99 when I first saw it.

Mr. A. C. Cummins says:
Well quite frankly yes, I agree with all of you. No one in the right mind could do that. I mean, as if you would really pay that much to own every episode ever made, what on earth would you do with all that? You'd be better off buying separate volumes of what you think were the best episodes, because that's really the only way I could do it. Oh it's a collector's dream, no doubt about it, and I liked it too, but this would be totally crackers wouldn't it?

It's a lot cheaper to buy now that it is in 20 volumes instead of 40. If you look at the entertainment cost per hour it rates with anything else such as going to see a movie or cost of films on DVD/BluRay. I own the full set of the original Australian release and it cost about £600 (over a five year period) & worth every penny in my opinion.
