good for those that hate immersion learning or the Micheal Thomas method,
This review is from: My Spanish Coach Level 1 - Learn To Speak Spanish (Nintendo DS) (Video Game)
I'm quite fussy about how I learn languages. I don't get on with the Michael Thomas method at all and find immersion style learning (where you listen to conversations) really frustrating. It may be boring but I like learning basic vocab before going on to sentences and this software lets you do that.
In fact its perfect for that. You learn a short list of words and practice them until you know them well enough to move on. I used this while on holiday in Spain and it made me very popular indeed! I'm moving through the lessons very quick and I'm not getting bored. For those times I needed a sentence I hadn't learnt the phrasebook and dictionary in the came proved indispensable.
If your are someone who is pushed for time the games are short enough that you perhaps need only spend 30mins a day getting your Spanish up to scratch.
One teeny problem is that the Spanish voice in this game seems to have a South American Spanish accent so for those wishing to perfect a European Spanish accent it might be useful to listen to some European Spanish accents.
In short, you are getting something truly thorough, fun and useful for a really really good price.
