This review is from: Vapor Trails (Remixed) (Audio CD)
After a decade of dipping in and out of the wall of noise that made the original such a beast to handle here we have, 'as if by magic' (though I'm sure a huge amount of hours were put into this) a crystal clear, mush free version. Still with oodles of power, I would actually say more power, the key point is it's now listenable to when your not in a beast head of a mood and it sounds..... so well....... so bloody wonderful. There's something at times painfully joyful that comes out of this remix that was just lost in the original 'monster'. Possibly the original thrash mix was right for the band then and this mix now? - it really is like a new album.

Okay thanks for you review! You've got the honor to have convinced me to finally order it... (in The Netherlands, I'm Dutch) after reading several (a lot) merely positive and some critical/harsh reviews, and a brief listen to the Rollingstone.com stream, I'm now convinced I should just get this, as a huge Rush fan I already thought I should.
By the way, could you please share your thoughts on some criticism I've read:
-"the drums are too far back in the mix"
-"The Ride Cymbal (you know, that one) is almost gone in the mix"
-"Geddy is too up front in the mix"

I guess some Rush fans are very hard to please... hope you wipe away those little worries too.
But my purchase probably will anyway. Cheers.
