5.0 out of 5 stars Hate stupidty, kill the prejudiced, question authority, 20 April 2004
This review is from: Frankenchrist (Audio CD)
This record, like all the official DK albums, was a total revelation forme. If you're anything like me (a fan of alternative punk / rock, livingin a total mainstream jock town full of frat townie idiots) you will lovethis album, take it home and treat it as your bible.
Although the album does sag a little in the middle ('A Growing Boy' and'Chicken Farm' one after another tend to drag on) everything else aboutthis record is flawless.
The opener 'Soup Is Good Food' couples one of their most striking andquirky riffs ever with lyrics as witty and sharp as anything you're likelyto ever hear, and the chorus is just a killer. 'Hellnation' has astrangely metal sound to it, but this doesn't affect the honesty of thesong. 'This Could Be Anywhere', 'Jock-O-Rama', and 'Goons Of Hazzard' keepup the high standard and the superb jock-bashing message.
The standout tracks though, are 'MTV - Get Off The Air' (the title says itall, pop is soooooo dull) and the superb closer 'Stars And Stripes OfCorruption' which has bitingly brilliant lyrics, and rocks like a demontoo. A superb record that just gets better with repeated listens.

ALVARO says:
Sport is a intellectual dead end and a meaningless opiate, a distraction (they don't tell you that in School). Sport fan's epitomise the so-called 'bewildered herd' they are uneducated, not politicised, stupid, reach-nary, conservative, read right-wing tabloid's(Sun/Times/Evening Standard/Daily Telegraph, etc) and are irrational Animals, hence they are a politicians dream.
