Easiest and tastiest ice cream EVER at first attempt!,
This review is from: Andrew James Ice Cream, Sorbet and Frozen Yoghurt Maker Machine 1.45 Litre + 128 Page Recipe Book - As voted "Best Buy" Ice Cream Maker By Which Magazine
I bought this with the intention of being able to have a bash at making ice cream, not expecting to get it right, but READ ON.
I had 2 practice runs (the first one didn't work and I had to take the batch out and whisk it again but it was my own fault for not ensuring that all my ingredients were chilled in the fridge first). Second time round my brain was in gear, I had my specs on and no excuses. Superb! And this was only the practice run. I had quality ice cream galore before I'd even started!!
Although this came with a great recipe book, I had already ordered the Ben & Jerry book, but both were great.
Minuses - delicious ice cream at 30 minutes notice won't help the diet at all. Oh well.......... (but worth every spoonful)

If you use skimmed Milk, 6 tbl Skimmed Milk powder and powdered Sweetner (no sugar) to taste, and use Cake flavourings, almond, vanilla, rum, lemon etc and cake colouring (instead of fruit or fruit syrup) Birds Custard powder to thicken (instead of cream) and a teaspoon or two of low fat Cocoa powder instead of Chocolate... You have a thick, creamy low calorie Ice cream that you can eat a bucket of for less calories than a cream cake. Dukan Dieters all make ice cream.. You can even add low fat natural yoghurt. Lovely... better than bought stuff..

I used a Mary Berry recipe and used the variation ginger recipe .
The bowl was very full !
My first attempt was with frozen raspberries but not totally great
my icecream maker is still churning .I managed to get most of the mix in the bowl this time unlike last when most was outside and on the floor. The dogs enjoyed it

I recommend adding any fruit a few minutes before the end of mixing. This will stop the cream from curdling and produce delicious ice cream. Have fun..
