gutted and also out of pocket,
This review is from: The Lost Episode [DVD] (DVD)
the music (which i hope royalties have been paid) most of the score is an almost exact copy of the great tomandandy theme to the re-make of the hills have eyes since i love this piece of music i class this as a strange but good thing.there is also a small sample of music from the original halloween as a patient shuffles in the background.
the leader of the group(haylie duff) is really hot and apart from one scene where there shouting at poor cgi ghosts she can actually act, michael rooker gets a few good one liners as the mad docter death like "im your docter and i love you".the building poseing as the asylum is a lovely building,im amaazed it hasnt been used in other films so congrats go to the location team.
sorry to michael rooker whos fantastic in slither, walking dead, henry etc but the film is abysmal.abysmal.abysmal.
the acting is mostly awful, the way items move looks completly unconvincing and not scary, the death scenes are terrable, poorly executed and mostly unconvincing, theres a sex scene involving a character i think called badger (who cannot act anymore than a chair)thats laughable shes moaning away yet still has her underwear on and badger is fully clothed and the hospital bed spins (for some reason)then the girl turns into a middle aged bloke who rants for 5 seconds why? who knows? the ghosts are not ghosts and just people walking around again unconvincingly no effort to even make them spooky at all.nothing really happens and the ending looks like it was filmed with some drama school students (i was one in the late 90s)
paranormal activity 1-3 this is not,the tunnell this is not, grave encounters this is not, blair witch this is not...its not even the asylum tapes which although average it at least makes an effort and is jumpy.if you love these films DO NOT BUY THIS.
i paid a ludicrous £12 for this yesterday at hmv as was really looking forward to another found footage film.today i managed to get £6 for it at a cex store and put that towards resident evil 6 for the ps3.

I thought this was a really good low budget horror, good action, and the acting wasnt too bad. If you hadnt been taught by mr humphries at ashfield school then you would have a better knowledge of acting. A. Dobb.

As someone who was in this movie I appreciate your comment. It's important to realize that no matter how talented an actor is, they will sound awful reading a poor script.
