4.0 out of 5 stars Not disapointing but very depressing, 22 Sept. 2009
This review is from: A Feast for Crows (A Song of Ice and Fire, Book 4) (Paperback)
This was a long book with too many details that were unnecessary, but I found myself trying to remember all the bits and pieces and trying to make sense of them. I enjoy the switching points of view, It doesn't matter that I was interested in staying with Brienne or Sansa, I would immerse myself in the new character with pleasure. I love that when we think that, for certain, something will happen one way, it takes a whole new direction. The twists and turns are mind boggling.
My biggest problem with this story is that nothing good ever happens. I do feel for the characters, even the suposedly evil ones like Cersei, and all this gloom and doom depresses me. I finished the book half an hour ago and I felt so empty. Although I loved the book, it's not a feeling I like to have. Complicated, right?

Complicated?..... maybe, but have no fear!! The next installment won't be out for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggg looooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggggggggg loooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggg time. You'll have plenty of time to re-read the book, as well as the preceeding 3 (turned into 4 for us lucky Europeans). In the meantime you could always pop over to the authors 'not a blog' and enjoy reading about updates on castings for the tv series or movie or whatever they're doing, where Mr Martin will be appearing next and plenty of info about current goings on in american football. All indicating that the author has little or no intention of finishing the story any time soon, if indeed at all.
