Have we finished,

This review is from: Happy Slumbers (Dragon City (Book Four of Four) 4) (Kindle Edition)
I reviewed the first book in the series and have now finished this, the fourth in the series. The books, as short as they are are very readable, and as far as each book goes, tells a story in itself in a simplistic way. Without too many spoilers the books follow 2 brothers and a best friend. The best friends Uncle disappears, they find a street on a map that does not appear on other maps, and se tout to investigate. As the books are very short (this last instalment about 50 pages), they build up the tension as best they can, but none of them including the last one finish the story off with any natural conclusion. In fact I had about 50 pages worth of questions to ask when it had finished.
Personally I like all the loose ends to be tied up in a book, this finished leaving you thinking there must be another book. It never felt like any of the books reached the full potential, and as you were waiting for a big shock or revelation that most thrillers, sci fi stories rely on it never came.
These are not bad books, and are certainly not badly written, but write this feeling as if the author has missed an opportunity.
