Entertaining mix of the unlikely,
This review is from: Pagan Babies (Paperback)
Leonard's 2000 "Pagan Babies" has been re-published and is newly out with several other older titles--happy days! Great, off-center characters swimming in cynicism and unlikely scenarios with WTF endings. My kind of mystery/lit books. "Pagan Babies" features an American priest who is witness to the Rwandan genocide, a vivacious and street-smart ex-con standup comedienne and a handful of not-too-bright scam artists and mafiosi. Makes for a funny cocktail as everyone is trying to scam everyone else. The dialogue and character interaction, as always, are the core and main strength of the book.
If you're reading through the Elmore Leonard legacy of writings, put this one on your list.
