Great Atelier game,
This review is from: Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland (PS3) (Video Game)
This by far, is the best Atelier out of the 3 released in uk as of yet. The music is catchy and beautifully arranged, the graphics are pretty with very cute artwork overall. The quest and world development system is much improved over the previous games since the added markers on the world map which highlight the required items/monsters/tasks that need fulfilling, making progress much easier, rather than keep having to check a list of what needs to be done and trying to remember or locate the needed items. Also the quests are no longer time based meaning you have as much time as you wish to complete them. The story is pretty cliche and typical of an atelier game but the characters and dialogs shine through with a great range of heroes from the the first two added and improved.
Combat is pretty similar to Totori but the characters lifebars and stats are easier to see so you'll be able to keep track of their statuses.
Excellent game which is reccomended to someone who's never played an Atelier game. I really can't wait for the next game in the series :)

Hi, I was just wondering, do you have to have played the previous Atelier games to understand this game? Or is it like a new story? Thank you.
