What a load of tosh,
This review is from: Vermatik 6 IN 1 Ultrasonic/Electromagnetic Rat/Mouse/Insect Repeller (AS SEEN ON TV)
No sign that this works at all. We've had it plugged in for a couple of weeks and the mice are not being deterred in the slightest. We have traps, as many gaps blocked up as possible and all food locked up in containers. We installed this because mice were still visiting and leaving their unpleasantries about. Their behaviour hasn't changed at all. The insects in the kitchen haven't reacted either. I wouldn't recommend buying this product. I would have not given it any stars at all - in fact negative stars because it was such a waste of money - if I could.
In fact - is it emitting a noise that attracts mice?? like a mating call??? We've got more than them than ever since we bought this....

it may well be that they are just not working. I have found the electromagnetic ones have been effective in a loft in a terraced house i own that was very badley infested by rats. i have regularly left bait down for a number of years and have seen no evidence of the bait being eaten or of rat droppings, after plugging the device in. I emphasize the infestation was really bad prior to getting the device which sent out these electromaganetic signals as well as those 'distressing' sounds. Why has it not worked for you? i was told when i bought the product some years ago(not this specific product) that the problem may appear to worsen for the first several weeks. These devices can have a very unsettling influence on rodents(creatures of serious routine) especially where the original infestation was serious. If they are the electromagnetic kind, it may be a well over a month before you see any results. This could be even longer if the rodents were born and raised in the property becasue they need to learn how to leave it!

I also read that if their is a current infestation within the property, you have to click onto the 'Ionic' setting rather than the U.M.I
