This review is from: The Drowning Girl (MIRA) (Paperback)
I found this book completely gripping and continued reading far into the night, when I should have been asleep. Maybe as I have a child who is prone to screaming when he cannot voice his fears, I felt more drawn to Graces desperate need to understand her daughters problems and "name" them than others and could see that she would follow whatever tread she could when faced with desperation. As a parent, it is very hard to watch your childs terror without being able to help.
I do not believe in reincarnation but found the storyline well written and was glad that Silvies was released from her fears, and was left with a feeling that Grace and Silvies lifes would now be happier and far less complicated than before.
More than a summer read.
