Fantastic rock album!,

This review is from: In Loving Memory of (Audio CD)
I first heard the single 'The Oaf' when I was in the USA and as soon as I did I got the album 'In Loving Memory Of' I realised I had purchased a rock album of total quality-great riffs, classy vocals (Ian Thornley does sound a little like Chris Cornell but still that isn't a bad thing at all!) and well put together songs. Big Wreck have a southern style edge to their tunes but it all blends really well but if you're into the more heavy side of rock then this might not be for you-imagine Soundgarden mixed with Aerosmith and you've got a rough idea of what they sound like. Stand out tracks include 'The Oaf', 'Look What I Found'-which includes some great slide guitar playing, 'Blown Wide Open', 'How Would You Know', 'Oh My', 'Under The Lighthouse' and 'Between You And I'-which has a great thundering guitar riff.
In general this is a great album from start to finish-its a shame that Big Wreck are not that well known in the UK because they are a great band.
