3.0 out of 5 stars Fun to start with..., 3 July 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fight Night Round 4 (PS3) (Video Game)
Very enjoyable game when you first start as fight now. I have a huge problem with this game though, once you start Legacy Mode, easy enough to start with, gradually getting harder until a certain point.

I had 10 fights, gradually getting harder, then for my 11th, my rating was 65 and my opponents of 85? How can that be realistic? Also it seems you have to be overly strategic. By 25 swelling is really bad. Knockouts become virtually impossible to me, maybe I'm doing something wrong but I suspect the 20 point difference might have something to do with it.

Overall it is a game for people who like to be strategic. Punches sound like they do no damage until counter punches. AI of computer is really good, too good in fact as they seem to know where to block all the time. Fight Now is brilliant as the characters all very similar ratings makes it very interesting, now why can't legacy be like that?

Legacy Mode with its new training which are very difficult at times almost too difficult. I was a huge fan of this game until it made it impossible to have a knockout or impossible to have an even fight. Always having to be so many points lower really is difficult. Too strategic in my opinion.

You're not just simulating the training are you? You need to either do the training, or autotrain (and gain less points), and your stats go up steadily!
