My first Lee Child book, but certainly not my last,
This review is from: Killing Floor (Jack Reacher, Book 1) (Kindle Edition)
A friend recommended Lee Child, so I thought I'd give him a try; what a good move. Books written in the first person are sometimes difficult to read, but I found myself flying through this book. I found the style somewhat reminiscent of Raymond Chandler, and Jack Reacher a bit like Philip Marlow on steroids; 'Killing Floor' could easily have been 'Killing Machine'. However, the violence, of which there is plenty, is well handled and not designed to shock, and the same applies to the sex.
If you like fast moving action, I would recommend this book and, having taken the plunge, I will certainly be dipping deeper into the pool of Lee Child books.
