At times very good.,
This review is from: Sony DSLRA290L Alpha Digital SLR Camera with SAL1855 Lens (14.2MP 2.5 inch LCD) (Camera)
This is my first DSLR camera and i have mixed feelings about it,.
Since i'm a novice with DSLR's i have stuck to the Auto setting only trying the manual settings a few times with not so good results (Trying to learn though)
The problem is the auto setting is very hit and miss. If i take a couple of pictures back to back in the same spot one will be nice and bright, the other looks like storm clouds have just arrived.
Many of the pictures i have have turned out fantastic, i just don't understand why things can look so different?
Nice feel to the camera and when it works how i want it to it's very good.

I am new too it too, but once I read a photography book it really helped me get my head around exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc and now I never use Auto! It may be worth buying one, they can be quite cheap.
