Disappointed (at the moment),
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Disappear Here (Audio CD)
Was really looking forward to this, but I have to say I am a bit disappointed with it all. Maybe I was expecting it to be another "Wide Angle" ( which I adore), and just wasn't expecting what turned up. It all sounds a bit too "lo-fi" for my tastes and just not as epic as previous material. There are some good tracks, but I couldn't find anything that really lifts this album off the ground. There is nothing that makes it stand out, nothing that really captures the attention. Maybe I'm missing the point, or maybe it's a "grower" and needs a few more listens, but for the moment, sorry, but this isn't a winner!

I was hoping for a "grower" too, but after 10-15 full listens the album only grows weaker for me. There is nothing as epic as the best of I Choose Noise, nothing as dark as Morning Sci-Fi, and nothing as moving as Wide Angle.

That's exactly how I feel about it.
