This review is from: O Beloved Kids: Rudyard Kipling's Letters to His Children (Hardcover)
Rudyard Kipling's love for his children shines through on every page of this beautiful book, and is further lit by his wonderful imagination and sense of playfulness. Towards the end, the book becomes more serious as he and his son, John, exchange letters while John is serving on the front lines during the First World War.
As we know, John did not survive that terrible war, but the book remains, nonetheless, a rare literary treat, an intimate view of a father's devotion to his beloved kids.
