This review is from: The Universe in 3D: How The Solar System Was Made [Blu-ray 3D] (Blu-ray)
I have 6 seasons of the universe. This is a 3D part of one of the seasons, space looks better in 3D well worth buying.

I rented this to give it a try but... well, it's a bit too American for my tastes. Overly loud and dramatic, yet cheesy music. Over-use of special effects. Dramatic presenter voice (speaking too quickly) and somewhat erratic delivery of information.
It's a far cry from the quality of documentaries the BBC puts out, like Blue Planet with the evocative and sweeping orchestral works (Not some cheesy and highly distracting hollywood action theme) with the slower-paced camera work and information delivery, allowing you to actually soak it up and giving time to mull it over. It's almost as if even a mere documentary must be presented like an action movie.
My biggest gripe with this blu-ray is how damn loud the music and sound effects are. The presenter's voice is quiet enough to almost seem like an afterthought. I looked up some videos of the show online and in them the presenter's voice is at a more normal volume. Strange.
