Great guide for 100% completion,
This review is from: Fable III: Strategy Guide (Hardcover)
Fable III is one of the games of 2010, so its only fitting that it should have a guide that matches its own greatness, and this is the guide to do it. The work and attention to detail placed in this guide is superb, with every copy having a one in four chance of being a different cover (i know i am happy with my version, it being the 'defend the flag' poster from in the game), a massive Art section depicting the main characters and areas of the game at the back, and generally feels very robust and hard, like a good harback book should be.
The guide covers the main story line, and all side missions, giving advice in small boxes, note worthy information in highlighted sections, and funny quotes with lots of useful pictures throughout. The main bonus of the guide however is the fact it shows all the places for the many collectables in fable, with fully coloured maps and item information for all the secrets.
This guide is everything an rpg game deserves, so why only 4 stars?? The guide itself is not the problem, its the game. Most of the game is a step by step process, with all the side quests not being very challenging, and easily accessible. Great for the game, but means the guide for a lot of the game is not really needed.
This guide is great because of all the secrets and collectables that are hidden, but as far as help with the story goes, as good as the guide is at doing it, it is not really neccessary. Buy this if you want to get 100% off fable III, if not, this is not for you.
