This review is from: Decolonisation: The British Experience since 1945 (Seminar Studies In History) (Paperback)
Although scholarly in tone this is quite an interesting read all the same. Covering the post-war decolonisation in a rather brisk manner it is very readable for a seminar study book.
The negative side to this easy read is that it really isn't quite comprehensive enough. Some of the former colonies recieve few mentions whenever they don't coincide with the auhors intention to find similar traits in the worldwide movements for independence and eventual relinquishments of power. This is great when attempting to study decolonisation throughout the whole of the British Empire but not quite so helpful when attempting to focus on one particular region.
