Not as I was expecting after reading the first two novels by Khaled Hosseni,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: And the Mountains Echoed (Hardcover)
The novel flips backwards and forwards in disjointed chapters and makes you wonder if you have missed an important section which would have helped you make sense.
In my opinion it is more a story of life in Afghanistan told over 60 years from different aspects of life and numerous inhabitants. The little coffee shop in Kabul is a far better and enjoyable read.

Yes, it is a story set in Afghanistan spanning 60 plus years. And yes it does feature several characters and the various aspects of their lives!! So what's your point?
