Caveat emptor. Jon Day, last heard of as a doctoral student 'working on modernist novels and the senses', has delicious fun unpicking this in the latest Weekend FT. He concludes that he doesn't really care - and nor will you. Private Eye's nose-tweeking (10 Jan) is more gentle

Jon Day's short review is a rather sad little affair, too full of petty comments and criticisms that verge on the snide to be taken as a definitive judgment on Raine's collection. I'll finish reading the Kindle sample before making up my mind but, from what I have already read, I think this is a book I do care to want to read.
