Decent action/disaster story,
This review is from: [The Walk] [by: Lee Goldberg] (Paperback)
This book looks like it's going to be terrible from the front cover and the appearance of being self-published. However, I'm glad to say that, for once, this sort of book has turned out to be very enjoyable.
A TV executive is in central LA when a huge earthquake strikes, destroying the city and killing thousands of people. He soon realises that no help is coming and the roads are ruined, so he has to walk home if he wants to see his wife again. He soon encounters an over-the-top bounty hunter who provides a lot of comedy along the journey while both goading him on and encouraging him to help other people. The book is a great mixture of action and black comedy and even has a fairly decent ending. Recommended.
