Not enough wool!!,
This review is from: The Crochet Book (Tin with book and project) (Hardcover)
I was very excited to get this product as a gift. The tin is lovely and the finished cushion looks like it will be beautiful. Unfortunately, there is not enough wool included to make the pattern. I tend to crochet quite tightly and usually use a bit less wool than patterns suggest, however I have now got almost to the end of the front of the cushion and run out of red wool. I have looked to buy more balls of the same wool but can't find them anywhere, so am having to buy another whole set rather than waste the many hours of work I've put in.
There are also glaring errors in the pattern. Someone with a bit of crochet experience will be fine negotiating them but it would be dreadful for a beginner.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the wool quality is also quite poor and it is difficult to work with. All in all very disappointing. But the fact there isn't enough wool is absolutely appalling!

Miss C. Kendrick says:
I have just bought this: do you know how I could find out what the mistakes actually are, as I'm a beginner and don't want to mess it all up. As lots of people have mentioned about the red wool running out, I might make just the front of the cushion and then do a plain back in my own wool. Would love to hear from you what mistakes you identified. Thank you!
