Hello Ivan. Thank you for posting a review of the GO 500. The new GO series devices handle Points of Interest (POIs) differently from previous TomTom devices. Where previous units had a separate option in the menu called POIs, the new GO series have all of those locations built directly into the map information and can be searched for by using the standard Search option in the main menu. If you type in a search request, the results get split into two columns, Addresses on the left and Points of Interest on the right. For example, in "Search", if you type in "airport birmingham" you will see streets with Airport in the name on the left, and variations on Birmingham Airport on the right.
Any places that you navigate to can be saved as a "My Places" marker by tapping on the Finish Line marker once the route has been planned and then tapping the "3 veritical dots" icon, then selecting "Add to My Places" and re-used or edited from the My Places list in the menu.
Regarding chargers, we only ever recommend using TomTom supplied charging equipment to ensure that the device is charged in the most suitable way.
